Spacewalk

Spacewalk is the transcendental dub reggae project by heavyweight musicians Joey Porter and Garrett Sayers of The Motet. In 2021, Porter decided to record 5 reggae grooves taking on almost every instrument to compose refined instrumental dub. Inspired by Porter's music, Sayers wrote 5 tunes of his own to created a sonic blend of driving reggae that showcases the tight bond the two musicians have with each other from performing and creating together for over a decade. Recorded at Porter's home studio in Colorado, this project features Joey Porter on guitar, keyboards, percussion, melodica, and drum machine programming; Sayers on bass and synthesizers; and Jeff Franca on percussion.
